Appointment

A nominal vote of the Knights Council to ratify the Heir is the senior most according to the Succession and Inheritance Law of Sendilar

Duties

They are to lead the kingdom and ensure the safety, protection and prosperity of it's citizens is defended and provided for.

Responsibilities

Holds full executive power within the Kingdom of Sendilar. May veto any legislation passed by Knights Council that is not unanimous. Once the Monarch has signed a piece of legislation it is now law and may only be repealed by unanimous vote of Knights council as well as monarch signature and seal Only the Monarch may declare war and only the Monarch can approve of moving military forces outside the claimed borders of Sendilar. (Note- the Order of the Steadfast Anchor recieved an acception to this in 35 AF for their Vessals)

Benefits

Unless existing law specifically limits an action then they are assumed to have the right to issue lawful decrees that must be adhered to

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Only Death may remove the Monarch.

History

Isabella Reving, the Privincial Governor of the Imperial Province of Sendilar, upon the loss of Goval VI convinced the military leaders of her province that the Empire had fallen and that in order to fulfill their ultimate duty of protecting the people they would have to form a kingdom. Isabella became the first Monarch and the Senior officers of the Legion became the first Dukes and Duchess' of Sendilar. For over three and a half centuries the Queen or King of Sendilar has reigned over Sendilar and the Kingdom has prospered and grown strong from that rule

Cultural Significance

They are the ultimate authority and Keeper of Honors within the Kingdom. All Titles of Peerage are subject to the Crowns approval.
