Soul Dust

The primary currency at the Sanctuary of the Weeping Scholar. In Nel'Akhiron, the fallen empire now a magical wasteland, it is not gold or steel the huddled survivors value, but Soul Dust, the crystallized remnants of shattered souls and lost memories. When a creature—whether it be a corrupted beast or a fallen knight—is defeated, its spirit does not vanish, but instead fragments into a fine, glowing dust. This dust is a physical representation of the spiritual decay that has consumed the world. It holds the faint echoes of the creature's final moments, its desires, and its pain.   Remnants will gather Soul Dust and bring it to the Weeping Scholar, who can use their unique attunement to absorb the dust and, in turn, use its raw power to strengthen the remnant's spirit, helping them grow and resist the world's decay.
