Nel'Akhiron
The wizards of Nel'Akhiron are as mysterious as they are powerful. In the current age, they are a shadow of what they once were, the scattered remnants of a long-forgotten empire that, at one point in history, spanned the entire continent. Their origins are ancient however, possibly the oldest civilisation in Cyllarune. Their ruins can be traced back tens of thousands of years, potentially starting even earlier than that. Though they are still around, their earliest records have likely been lost with the collapse of their society, an event referred to as the Twilight Hour.
Now, their population is a fraction of what it was, consisting of a loose scattering of cloistered sorcerers living in isolated monasteries or crumbling fortresses.
Structure
Originally, the kingdom was ruled by it's magical and spiritual leaders, the The White Order. This senate-like assembly governed the entire empire from their seat in the kingdom's capital.
