Sanctuary of the Weeping Scholar

A secluded, miraculously untouched area where a single scholar (who has not yet become an Echo) resides. The Sanctuary is a well of "pure" magic that resists the Bleed. From here, one can gain insight into the distant history of Nel'Akhiron and the existence of the archomancers.   The Sanctuary is a small, miraculously untouched island in the Sea of Decay, a quiet refuge where the Magical Bleed cannot reach. Nestled within a cloister of ancient, petrified trees, its air is clear and the light is soft, a stark contrast to the corrupted world outside. It is a place of stillness, but not of peace, where the weight of Nel'Akhiron's past hangs heavy in the quiet air.   The Sanctuary is the last bastion for undying survivors of the The Tempest War and the annihilation that destroyed their civilisation. It is inhabited by a few notable individuals, last vestiges of the old empire:

• Matriarch Zyl'Akara - the Priestess
• The Mender of Remnants
• The Apothecary
• The Lamplighter

  A fount of ancient history, the Sanctuary also houses The Weeping Scrolls, a chronicle of Nel'Akhiron's history and its downfall. Spread across the entire kingdom's ruins, the Scrolls are being gathered and collected so they may be catalogued and maintained within the Sanctuary.
