Obsidian Collective of Ironstone

The current age of Isturoth is a time of rapid social and cultural change, with many powerful factions vying for influence and creating a complex landscape of conflict and progress. Chief among these is the Obsidian Collective (of Ironstone), a coalition of several trade and political organisations that holds a tremendous amount of power in both Kur'Taloth and Vašira. While the OCI operates primarily as a commercial entity, it also functions as a poltical party, with representatives acting in an advisory capacity to heads of government.

Public Agenda

To the common folk, the Obsidian Collective of Ironstone represent the burgeoning industrial revolution that is transforming the kingdom. They own many of Isturoth's mines, foundries and factories and have been instrumental in the implementation of streamlined, efficient production processes. They provide resources, products and jobs to Isturians, but they are also responsible for the lack of regulation around safety processes and industrial pollution.

Assets

The Obsidian Collective has investments in a wide range of industries, operations and organisations. Their portfolio is broad and they now boast control over some of the oldest institutions in Isturoth's history.

Royal Metallurgist Society - One of the most powerful guilds in Isturoth, responsible for regulating the mineral and metallurgy industries.
Royal Botanical Society - Another guild focused primarily on alchemical research.
Hearthkeepers - The council responsible for governance over Vašira. A number of Hearthkeepers answer directly to the OCI.
Order of the Iron Wyrm - A rogue, militaristic group or mercenaries who proclaim to hold to a strict moral code, but in actuality will merely fight for the highest bidder.
The Ebony Underground - An underground fighting arena supported by the rich and powerful elite.
