Mehit Fairmane

Villages in the Western Pridelands were all semi-nomadic, forced to move by both the changing seasons… and incursions by Faust’s people and influence. Mehit was born to a Consort residing in such a village. For a few years, Mehit was the idol of the village with her wings marking her as a blessed and divine daughter. The last memory Mehit has of her mother is a blurry image of her mother’s face twisted in pain as she bid her daughter farewell. A debtor had hidden among them and the Loan Snakes had come to collect with little regard for any collateral. Mehit was lucky to be smuggled away and was taken to the Pride Halls. There, the local Consorts adopted her as their own daughter and the older Menseya quickly took a young Mehit under their wings as she began her training. And at 18, Mehit was the youngest Menseya initiate.

Despite the tragedy that cut her childhood short, Mehit was incredibly bubbly, sweet, and excitable throughout her life. As an initiate, her duties kept her in the Pride Halls and she was a popular figure with many of the Tabaxi and Leonin children there. And although she was more gifted in the physical attributes valued in a Menseya, she doted upon and outwardly admired the scholars and mages of Moralis. Above all, however, Mehit found a deep and fierce kinship with her sisters, the Menseya. She adored stories of Menseya of the past; of their devotion to Geryon’s Law, of their embodiment of Pyrus’ values, and of their deep, unwavering loyalty.
