Early Life
Avena was the youngest child born to the ruling Steward of the Seasons Aurelian Rylin and Eithne Rylin in the 11,017th year of the Age of Restoration. While there was never a solid chance that she would serve as a Stewardess as originally fifth in line, Avena still recieved a formal education that any child of House Rylin would receive. She grew up with a happy childhood and became known as the Rose of Mauribon by some of her admirers. Others called her the Winter Rose since she often spurned potential suitors.
Wandering the Enclaves
Avena always found better things to do with her time than to sit around Kaer Dour and entertain what seemed to be an endless stream of diplomats, lords, and potential suitors who were primarily interested in either her status or looks rather than the Elf within. She would commonly wander through the Valley exploring its various aspects.
With her brother's election to join the Blue Guard, Avena moved up to fourth in the line of succession at the age of 21.
At the age of 23, she was able to participate in the Festival of the Blue Moon and passed on her first attempt.
Winter Warden
With the death of her father in 11,048, and her brother's accession to the Stewardship, Avena was chosen as the Winter Warden over her brother Anuerin, which brought further tension to their already turmoilous relationship. She spent much of the next few decades being a hands-on Warden and traveling around the Water Providence, making sure each town was thriving.
Marriage Ulric Stormcrow
It was during a trip to Aemari where she first met a young Ulric Stormcrow in the year 11,114. This began a year-long courtship between the two who returned to Mauribon the next year and were wed.
Birth of Aren
It was four years into their marriage that Ulric and Avena had their only child, Aren Rylin.

It was after 10 years of marriage that Ulric was driven to go on an extended raid for several months while Avena traveled with her brother to the Rylin Family Estate for the Summer. This was ultimately the last time they saw each other.

She raised Aren together with her husband Ulric Stormcrow in Mauribon for the first 6 years of his life.
Aren still remembers several of the lessons that she taught him.

When they were younger, the two had a close sibling bond as the youngest children of the family, born only 13 years apart from one another. However, tension began to grow once Aneurin failed his first Festival of the Blue Moon, which caused much controversy and scandal.
This tension exploded when his brother, Auralon, newly ascended to the Stewardship, proclaimed Avena the Winter Warden despite the fact that he was the next in line. From that point on, Aneurin let his jealousy destroy their relationship.
He was eventually indirectly responsible for her death.
