Aurathir Rylin

While not as imposing as his father, Aurathir was still of an above-average height and could wield a sword with great expertise. His lean build allowed him to blur across the battlefield.

Early Life

Aurathir Rylin I was born during the height of the Great Storm, the War between the Eldrin and the Great Alliance. He is one of a handful of the Rylin lineage to be born outside the Elemental Enclaves, but rather in the eastern edge of Askel, while his father, Auradir, prepares to lead the Elves of the Great Alliance into the Storm Lands. As this was not a place for fully grown adults, let alone small children, Auradir had his family transported to Aetherin, where they stayed for the first few months until both Aurathir and his mother were strong enough to travel back to Mauribon.

Despite the conflict, Aurathir grew up in relative peace deep within the protection of the Elven Valley that had protected his people since the beginning of time. This did not mean he did not see conflict, for 300 years, he led the Elven defenses against the remnants of the Fallen's Invasion Force that had dug into the mountains, as well as the occasional reinforcements that were sent to keep them occupied.

Winter Warden

After the ratification of The Elemental Covenant in the 1st year of the Age of Restoration, he succeeded his father as the Winter Warden. As the first Winter Warden under the new Elemental Covenant, Aurathir set the standards of the Steward, remaining the De Juro leader of the Rylin family. At the same time, the Winter Warden assisted him with governance over the Water province, similar to the heads of the other great houses. This allowed the 300-year-old elf to begin learning governance as his father's right hand, and for the 247 years of Auradir's reign, he learned at his father's side.

Second Steward of the Seasons

Upon his father's death, Aurathir succeeded him and took on the task of ensuring the Elemental Covenant survived into the second generation. As Steward, Aurathir I solidified what would become the traditional federalist structure of the Elemental Enclaves. I prioritized completing the defensive outposts started by his father, including Maiden's Watch to the north and Maiden's Stand to the south. He served as Steward until his death to the Shadow's Consumption in 707 A.o.R.

Winter Warden (0-247 AoR)

Aurathir served as the first under the new Elemental Enclaves, and as such, defined many of the positions' new roles under the new government. Rather than being the sole ruler of the Water Providence, Aurathir used the position to take a prominent yet backseat role to his father, the Steward. He continued the laissez-faire approach to governance that House Rylin had traditionally taken, only stepping into conflicts and issues in the Water Providence as needed.

Steward of the Seasons (247-707 AoR)

Aurathir served as the second Steward and served for 460 years.
