Keepers of the Veil
The Keepers of the Veil are a student arcane circle formed at Braddock College in Autumn Grove, Ohio. Formed in September of 1921 by freshmen Courtney Ashford, Sadie Van Tassel, Nettie Talbott, and Mary Carlyle, the circle's primary stated purpose is mutual protection - of one another and of their fellow students.
The name Keepers of the Veil is inherited from a philosophical society at Braddock College that lasted from 1878 until 1882. Professors Elizabeth Talbott and Edwin Davies (current president of Braddock College) were core members. It is believed that Professor Davies suggested the current society take the name of the former philosophical society as a form of honorary continuity. If this is the case, then it might be inferred that the Keepers of the Veil act as an arm of Braddock College itself, whether officially or unofficially.
