The Nether Queen

Nether Queen

Up to date: Summer 2025

The Nether Queen rules the Nether Court of Garden City – a hidden domain that is aligned with the city, but lies isolated and underground in Otherworld.
If she has a name, few know it, all approach her by formal terms of address or refer to her by title.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Lean, curvy, classic femininity. The Nether Queen keeps her body built to be alluring.

Identifying Characteristics

Her yellow eyes are unique and very un-alf like. “A gift from my father” is the only hint of their unusual origin.
They are, however, a trait inherited by all of her children.

Apparel & Accessories

Long revealing dresses, dark alluring colors and jewelry – all the jewelry: Rings, armbands and the crown jewels – not a crown or a tiara, but a heavy, intricate bib/plastron necklace piece of silver, encrusted with gemstones.
Her straight, long, pitch black hair loosely falls down her back, reaching past her waistline.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Largely unknown by Alea and her friends, a few things have, however, revealed themselves:
The Queen’s mother held the title of Queen before her, and just like the present Queen, her mother was very adamant that her children were sired by the best genepools available.
The Queen’s father is unknown to our protagonists beyond him having piercing yellow eyes and necessarily a being of great, hopefully inheritable traits.
The Nether Queen is herself mother of many children. While only one lives in the Court and bears the title of The Nether Queen, several others have been revealed throughout the stories. Common for all are the yellow eyes of their grandfather, but all of them are sired by different fathers.
The current Queen lures men of power in and breeds with them, planting the offspring outside spying eyes. She has no contact with them before they are needed for blackmail or leverage against their fathers, or before they prove themselves otherwise valuable.

Sexuality

Presumably straight, but lust seems less relevant to her than pure manipulation.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

The Queen is outwardly motivated towards the wellbeing of all of her subjects, but it is hardly a secret that she loves her position and plans to hold onto it until one of her children proves worthy.
Though one daughter lives with her in Otherworld and carries the title of Nether Princess, she is by no means the only prospect of the Queen.
If given the chance for a longer life in which to stay in power, the Queen would take it with no hesitation however and with little care to who she’d hurt in the process and how much.

Social

Family Ties

Officially the Queen has no parents or siblings left. They have all curiously passed or suddenly gone silent.
The Queen has one daughter living with her in the Nether Court - the Nether Princess, Liliana, however it is a poorly kept secret that she has other children out there.
She has quite many, actually, but most are unaware of their royal heritage, planted with human families under a Changeling Glamour and very loosely monitored, only to be brought in should they prove worthy of notice or practical as a pawn against their often equally unaware fathers in positions of power.
One other known daughter resides in Garden City, known mostly as the Madam. She is a powerful Nymph in control of a Fey brothel in the red lights district, discarded due to her Fey genes being stronger than her Dark Alf heritage.

Social Aptitude

Etiquette is everything to the Nether Queen. She protrudes and expects a stoic politeness in presentation, keeping an outward appearance of calm and control, even when her words contradict so.

Speech

Slow and articulate, haughty yet elegant.

Wealth & Financial state

Few see more than the throne room in her castle carved into the rock, so the size of her palace is widely unknown. She never wants for anything, but how much she actually has is simply unknown.
An important aspect of her wealth is that every exchange with her is favor based. People appease her in hope of her favor in return. When she wants something, most are jumping at the opportunity to please her.
