Niflheim
Up to date: Summer 2025
A cold, desolate mirror of Gimlé the Mountain, where only the toughest, hardiest Vettir can stand to live. Under the simplest living conditions, the descendants of ancient prisoners mine away and fight an eternal fight against the spawn of Nidhug the Dragon.
The ones left here, are the ones who chose to of their own volition, after Ragnarok and the settling of Gimlé.
They live dedicated to the idea that by toil and turmoil, true greatness will spring: A prophesied wielder of Destiny who will rise and break the mountain as they lead them all to new heights.

Niflheim is a mountain range of frosty peaks and empty valleys. Travelling to and from Niflheim has proven so deadly, it is considered impossible without passing through Our World.
It is only the sheer force of the rivers from Hvergelmir that keeps them from freezing over.

It is said that the first vettir here, where lawbreakers who was considered so beyond salvation that death would be a kindness to them, so instead they where left here to freeze to death, while being as miserable as possible.
But the vettir is a sturdy people, and they found the will and strength to survive and create a home deep underground, where the wind couldn't reach them. Here they formed a settlement and fed on the only living thing except themselves - dragons.
Thus began a milenia long war between the hungry Dragons and the starving vettir, which still lasts to this day.
The largest and foulest Dragon, Níðhöggr, was finally slain and fell into the depths during Ragnarok, and the Vettir now stand stronger than ever.
Many left for Gimlé, when offered a relocation by the surviving Asir, but some stayed behind - too dedicated to their belief that only true struggle breeds legends.
