Mental characteristics
Personal history
Aventus was the ruling God of the Choir of the Whispered Song from the creation of the choirs. They were a kind, benevolent God, and truly cared for the Angels under their care. Aventus made it a point of personal pride to listen to the worries and cares of the Angels in their choir, and to guide them in their song.
When Haph first started to perpetuate the First Lie, Aventus did not believe the lie. They firmly believed that the demons would never turn against the cosmic order, and that the Lurker was somehow able to speak falsehood. This was, at the time, controversial.
When the Angel Joshua killed the first of the demons, Aventus was furious with him. They believed, with good reason, that this would lead to a war between angels and demons that would threaten all of creation. They scolded Joshua, but did not cast him down.
Aventus was present within the Garden when it was destroyed. Despite their best efforts, they were the only survivor of their choir. This galvanized them, and led them to the belief that innocence and beauty in Creation must be protected, and the only way to do so was to kill every demon that could pose a threat to it.
Relationships
History
Aventus relied upon Hald for prophecy of future events for a long time, and especially when the Cosmic War started, relied upon Hald's ability to see tragedy to prevent foolish troop movements and from leaving flanks unprotected.
Relationship Reasoning
The relationship of Hald and Aventus was formed when Aventus admitted that he found Hald's music to be beautiful, and that he was an excellent conductor. From the day they met, Aventus considered Hald a metor, and Hald considered Aventus a sharp student. As time went on, and Aventus grew to be more powerful than Hald, he resented Hald's ability to see and understand the future.
