Wider Realms
The Stability Council can access, or at least is aware of, many more realms in the Discontinuum than I have documented under the evolutions and archetypes on the home page which simply focuses on the ones where I have set significant stories, or have interesting lore or art. These are the primary locations most likely to be developed further. On this page I will just provide a cross reference to what little we know of some other realms in the wider discontinuum. This may be no more than a single fleeting reference in a story or in fragment(s) of text accompanying miscellaneous articles. It's possible that any of the realms listed here may at some point be promoted out of this page to become a primary location if they seem to deserve more creative attention.
The listing below is purely alphabetical and implies nothing else about the relative importance or organisation of these worlds.

The Christmas Passage | The Autumn Country : Story Home;Chapter 5 : Binding Rules; Chapter 6 : Mist Wolves | Classic Archetype |
The Christmas Passage is a small Realm - a narrow valley between steep rocky hills which funnels out through the New Year gap onto the Great Bleak Plain over the border in the Winter Country. At one time it used to be a place of some spirituality. Men and women made pilgrimages to the holy sites and came away renewed and at peace. These days it has fallen into disrepute. It's become a byword for drunken revelry and mayhem. There are cut throat traders who'll extort every last penny from you in the name of the prince of the place - a nasty old thug who styles himself 'Santa Clause' and runs a pretty comprehensive protection racket demanding a toll of so called 'presents' from travellers through the Realm. I hear that Santa may be fronting for the Proton King now. When I last visited the Christmas Passage, I was quite glad to make it through the New Year gap and out alive on to the other side. |
