Gilder Fields
The Gilder Fields District of Katrapetch is an area of intensive farming which lies outside the old walls and was incorporated into the expanding city during the age of the Old Pale Empire. Although the surrounding land is now build up, enclosing the area in an urban envelope, the Gilder Fields themselves have retained their original function as farmland to feed the city. Whilst Katrapetch draws on agricultural land from a much wider area beyond the city limits, this internal district remains as a curious anomoly but still a useful source of locally grown rice and grain to feed the people.
