Low Elves

Low Elves are considered in contrast to high elves. They are less strange or alien to many other species. Often classified as half-elves or lesser elves especially by their High Elf cousins. They tend to have more normally sized eyes and ears, that while still exagerated features are less obvious from a distance. They also show a bit more sexual dimorphism, but are still largely androgenous to most other sentients.
Low elves do not have the same lifespan as high elves, but still more than most species. They live about 500 years typically, though certain enclaves will have a shorter life span then that.

Naming Traditions

Feminine names

Common names: Nefert, Hent, Rerti, Nodja, Neferu, Uia, Ama

Masculine names

Common names: Mereet, Djose, Iupu, Pentu, Seti, Shepel, Tchefi

Family names

Usually a combination of an ancestors first name and a suffix related to a deity. The common elvish deities are; Kornan with a suffix of -nan, Irisin with a suffix of -isin, and Heare with a suffix of -re.
So Djosenan, Rertire, and Amaisin would be common.

Other names

Positional prefixes are often used. Not as elaborate as the high elf system they include both relative and absolute positions.
Relative positional prefixes Much higher - Khon Higher - Hoto Lower - Tet Much Lower - Eret
So your boss might be Hoto Mereet Rertire to you and the local lord Khon Iupu Amaisin. While an apprentice would be Tet Shepel Setire, and a slave/worker Eret Nodja. (This last category often will omit family names).
Absolute positional prefixes Father - Ab Mother - Vo Sibling, Older - Ne Sibling, Younger - Ko Grandparent Abab or Vovo Ancestor - Senen Lord - Ankt Mage - Tepen Teacher - Ushan General - Heten

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

They have their own dialect of Elvish, and their script is more compact and precise than that of the High Elves. It is generally readable between both cultures, though some turns of phrase make comprehension difficult. The standardization of the Codex Aspara as a principle text across several thousand years helped in providing a language stabilizing force.

Common Dress code

Like High Elves they put extensive stock in the seasons. Clothing tends to be specific to the season of the year, changing colors an patterns based on the seasons. Spring is flowey, Summer is for wide brim hats and bare midriffs, Autumn is for deep colors and thick fabrics, with Winter for layers and furs.

Foods & Cuisine

Unlike High Elves, the Low elves have significant variation in cuisine based on their nationality and sub-culture. Many integrate with other sentients well and adopt the foods of the local culture. They are partial however to crisp and crunchy foodstuffs.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

A Cristening type ceremony is common and reflects some aspects of the local religion. It involves a blessing of words over the child, a sprinkle of holy water or oil, and special attire.
