School of The Wolf

The School of The Wolf is a Witcher school, created when the last witchers left the order at Castle Morgraig and set up their headquarters at Kaer Morhen. In its glory days, the Wolf School was one of the most recognized and trusted Witcher schools. However, tensions eventually escalated and led to a pogrom that killed many of its members. Since then, Kaer Morhen and the Wolf School has been a shadow of its former self. The School has been unofficially disbanded after the Wild Hunt's assault. However, just one look at its roster will reveal some of the most legendary witchers were proud members of this school. Worthy mentions include Lambert, Eskel, Vesemir and Geralt of Rivia.

Structure

No such organization or structure, as witchers do not follow a rank system. However, there may be a Grandmaster witcher (such as Vesemir) overseeing the keep and training of the young ones. Young witchers yet to set out on The Path answer to fully-fledged witchers.

Culture

Like all witchers, Wolf witchers roam The Continent looking for jobs. They don't have a particular code of conduct towards outsiders, although they follow standard witcher protocols. The generation of Wolves after the Kaer Morhen pogrom seem to display some degree of morality, probably taught to them by Vesemir.   Wolf witchers, like Griffin witchers, place high emphasis on teamwork and camaraderie among fellow Witchers. This extends to other Schools as well, provided both parties are willing to work together. After all, a pack of Wolves can bring down prey that a lone Wolf cannot.

Public Agenda

Wolf witchers follow the Witcher creed of destroying monsters for payment. However, they tend to be more mindful of how they conduct their business, seeing a job through to the very end. This earned them a reputation as professional and reliable witchers.

Disbandment

The Kaer Morhen pogrom marked the violent end of the Wolf School's glory days. After the incident, the School was a former shadow of its past self.   The final blow came when the Wild Hunt attacked Kaer Morhen in an attempt to kidnap Ciri. A fierce battle ensued. At its end, Vesemir was killed. Though the remaining Witchers survived, they decided to move on from the crumbling fortress and seek sanctuary elsewhere. They enlisted the help of their sorcerer friends to rebuild the keep to honour Vesemir, then left for good. This marked the unofficial disbandment of Kaer Morhen and the Wolf School.
