Undead

The Undead of Azeroth are beings whose souls—or fragments of them—are bound to dead bodies through dark magic or unnatural forces. Some were victims of the Plague of Undeath or necromantic rituals, while others willingly embraced undeath. They range from mindless thralls to fully sentient individuals, many of whom struggle to find meaning in a world that often hates and fears them. Undeath is a condition that can affect nearly any race, and it manifests in various forms—some horrific, others noble or tragic.
