Eddie Kurosawa

Eddie Kurosawa (from Eddie Kendricks of The Temptations, and Akira Kurosawa) Where do you come from? What's your origin story?   Before becoming the samurai-loving, bell bottoms-wearing vigilante he is today, Eddie was your everyday mouse, though he was much smaller than the other rats living in the sewers. He would often find himself allured to the nightclubs and discotheques of the big city, wishing he could dance and boogie instead of fighting just to survive. His second passion was sneaking into a particular apartment during samurai movie nights. He would watch all of the greats from the corner of the living room: Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Throne of Blood, and so on. At the demise of T-Tech, Eddie came across some hazardous waste that was dumped into the sewers of Greenwich Village, designed specifically to create super soldiers. When he came in contact with it, he mutated. Though he was no longer the easiest target for the Tusk Squad to eat, they got him to join their crew or suffer the consequences. He didn’t want to be what was essentially a hired thug, so he stole a katana and tanto (likely from T-Tech, perhaps even belonging to Nathan Toshigawa himself) and fled. Eddie’s been on the run ever since.   Despite his tragic upbringing and current dilemma with the Tusk Squad, Eddie is a chill, aloof, groovy guy. He thrifted his clothing from various dumpsters or cobbled together some clothes from discarded bits of fabric, taking inspiration from his disco heroes.   What are your personal goals?   To shimmy and jive, to groove and to move.   What are your personal beliefs? Do you have any?   Peace and love. Diplomacy before war.   What is your job/role in society? In the party? Was it different before your "Origin"?   Inspired by Yojimbo, Eddie takes the street fighting style seriously. While there’s honor in fighting head on, it’s smarter to take an anything goes approach. Though he only fights when absolutely necessary, like his other hero from Rurouni Kenshin.   Who is your closest friend or family member?   None as of yet.   Do you have enemies? Are you wanted or notorious?   He’s wanted by the Tusk Squad, dead or alive.   Do you have a rival? If so, who are they?   Also none as of yet.   What do you do for fun and entertainment? Do you have hobbies?   Boogying on down and getting his groove on.   What’s one lie your character believes about themselves? What’s one lie they believe about the world?   He believes he can one day join the humans and live among them peacefully. He knows full well there are few who would accept him, but he wants to believe not everyone is as bad as they seem.   Does your character have a love life or romantic interests?   Also none as of yet.   Do you have a secret (dark or otherwise)?   Although Eddie loves disco, he can’t dance to save his life.
