Stryth Elf

Much like the The Human Species, this race shares a very similar skeleton and structure.
However, they have sharp ears that are slightly longer than Human ears, but shorter than their kin, the Akachena Elves.
Their teeth are also a point of interest as their upper and lower fangs are slightly longer than any other Elven or Human teeth.
This marks ferocity and gives them the added ability to tear through meat and skin faster.

The pregnancy period is 2 months and can be quite painful due to the rapid growth of the fetus. They are only capable of having 1 child at a time. The reproductive hormones are directly impacted by the moon cycle. As a result, females are only fertile during the full moon.

The lifespan of a Stryth varies, but the common range is:

• Year 0-1 Infancy
• Year 1-3 Early Childhood
• Year 3-6 Middle Childhood
• Year 6-8 Late Childhood
• Year 8-14 Adolescence
• Year 14-20 Early Adulthood
• Year 90-300 Midlife
• Year 300-500 Mature Adulthood
• Year 500+ Late Adulthood

Extra: Stryth also has small fangs that slightly grow in the upper and lower gums of their mouths until adulthood, which represents ferocity. Compared to Akachena, Stryth has shorter but still sharp ears.

This race usually thrives in a northern climate and excels during humid times of the year.
The thing about Stryth Elves is that they adapt to their surroundings fairly easy.
They may live just as well in cities as well as caves.

This race is able to live months at a time without any form of food consumption. However, they require a specialized form of supplement to survive.
They hunt and feast similarly to Humans, where meat and vegetables can sustain them for a while.
Ultimately, they will need to drink a unique liquid that comes from the White Oak trees.
This liquid mixed with pressed grapes and water is known as Astral Water, which is the common supplement of the Stryth Elves.

This race has enhanced sight with the ability to see in the dark.
However, there has to be some kind of light source that sends waves, which can be picked up.
This makes them exceptional hunters at night.

Sub Racial Traits

There are three categories of Sub Races within the Stryth Elven Race.
 

Pure (Also known as Celestial Born)

The Pure Elves are born with light blue eyes that faintly glow. These are the common Stryth race, which is said to indicate their purity of heart.
A Stryth's action can ultimately lead to visual changes on their appearance, which can then result in them changing into a Touched or Lost Stryth.
This is why this race is known as the Celestial Born, or Pure born as they might eventually deviate from the purity of their kin.
 

Touched (Also known as Corrupted)

The Touched Elves are Stryth Elves that seek out magic and infuses their body and mind to enhance their abilities.
This impacts the elf depending on what sort of magic they attune.
Those that seek out Elemental Magic will have their eyes change color to a shade of green.
Those that seek out Blood Magic will have their eyes change color to red or orange.
Those that seek out Arcane Magic will have their eyes change color to purple or yellow.
 

Lost

The Lost Elves are the rarest of the Stryth Elves as their characteristics change depending on their mental state.
The Lost comes from their passive nature where they have no home, no allegiance, or loved ones.
This changes their eyes and hair color to white or gray, which is said to represent someone who has lost their path.
However, the Lost may have a stronger connection to alternative communication.
Part of why the Lost are the rarest of the Stryth Elves is because once they establish a bond they will slowly start to change over time.
Regardless, they will never fully revert back to the Pure state, and thus they will have scars and/or traits of their former self.

Males will commonly dress in midnight blue silk robes and silver jewelry, while keeping their hair straight and loose.
Females will use various facial paints and wear dresses of purple silk.
Both genders are considered more attractive based on their confidence.

Worshippers of Malagan

When wed, both genders are bound in the spirit of Malagan for this and the next life.  

Worshippers of Ashira

When wed, they’re bound in the spirit of Ashira, but they’re both able to pick a new mate immediately, but not procreate until both partners allow it.  

Worshippers of Neevyra

When wed, the female is considered the superior who may choose any mate who desires her at any time.
Her mate will be bound to her until she releases him.
She can also have multiple mates at any given time.

Raising A Child

A child is commonly raised by the Night Mother, which is an educated female Stryth who has vowed to take on the responsibility to raise the children.
The parents are only involved in their child’s life during milestones, but aside from that they won’t be with the child until they’re released from the Sanctuary.
This is by the time they reach 12 years of age. Upon reaching 12 years of age, the child is assigned to a profession best suited their ability regardless of their own desire.  

Worshippers of Malagan

When married into a family, the allegiance will be with them and not the blood related family.  

Worshippers of Ashira

When married into a family, the allegiance will be with both your new family and the blood related family.  

Worshippers of Neevyra

The male is demanded to protect the female once wed.
If the female should die in any other way than a natural one, the male will be blamed for his failure.
This will be marked with a burned symbol on his forehead.
Additionally, when a child is born, the male’s wealth is bestowed upon them.
They’re able to use this wealth once they leave the Sanctuary.

The Stryth Race is a proud people who are former members of the Elven Covenant.
After their fallout with the Akachena Elves, the Stryth began seeking out ways to further strengthen their own people.
While there is a non-aggression pact between the Akachena, the fragile peace is constantly being challenged.
The two great races despise each other but are actively working on maintaining a truce.
  Like some of the Akechena, the Stryth Elves are also part of the Order of Elvanor.
The temple of great wizards and sorceresses is a neutral ground for the species.
However, there are those from both Akachena and the Stryth race that sees the temple as a scourge to life itself.
This is especially prominent with the Stryth Elves, who may label their own as Corrupted if they seek to study the Ancient Arts.   Pure Stryth Elf   Touched Stryth Elf   Lost Stryth Elf
