Wokar Stubbornskull

Title, Name, Descriptive Name & Position

Healer Wokar Stubbornskull is a Rune Mage serving in the military and responsible for medical operations aboard *Raskab’s Fist*. He is part of the ship’s permanent crew and holds a central role in its medical division. His epithet “Stubbornskull” is not a nickname but a description—he contradicts, corrects, and insists on precision. Outside of duty, he shares a friendly relationship with Ermos Icefist; during missions, however, conflicts occasionally arise, especially when responsibilities overlap.  

Age

Wokar is around 50 years old, a few years younger than Ermos. He remains fully active in service, regularly attends training sessions, and stays physically and mentally engaged. His age is mostly visible in appearance, not in any limitation of his abilities.  

Appearance / Physical Condition

Wokar is of average height for a Frostborn—about 1.62 m. He wears his now-white hair parted to the side, paired with a well-groomed white beard. His facial features show a slight Asian influence (roughly ¼ heritage). Notable are his greenish-stained teeth and lips—a result of constantly chewing a particular type of seaweed, considered both a delicacy and a mild addictive substance. He appears robust, physically well-preserved, and places no value on fashionable attire—he prefers functional clothing over rank insignia.  

Background

Wokar joined the military as a Rune Warrior recruit during the Golem War. He was inexperienced at the time but was quickly directed toward medical service. After completing his training, he specialized as a healer and Rune Mage, becoming a long-standing medical constant aboard *Raskab’s Fist*. His attitude toward rank and authority is pragmatic—he accepts structure but speaks up when he disagrees professionally. Especially between him and Ermos, this leads to clear but controlled confrontations.  

Motivation & Goals

Wokar’s primary drive is professional competence. He has a deep need to understand methods—even those he considers ineffective or risky. He values no opinion, only clean knowledge. He despises half-truths, rejects untested healing techniques, and strives to stay up to date with medical developments. He maintains active exchanges with other healers in Galdra and regularly evaluates new findings. His motivation is not ambition, but the desire to help—reliably, swiftly, and thoroughly.  

Family & Relationships

Wokar is unmarried and has no children. He never actively pursued a family—not out of aversion, but because work, study, and patients left no room. He does not view this as a deficiency, but as a logical outcome of his life model. In the past, there were fleeting relationships, but nothing lasting. His closest connections are colleagues and patients—he maintains contact when it makes sense but keeps his private life deliberately simple.  

Reputation

Wokar is highly respected as a healer, even if his tone often seems harsh. His patients receive no sugar-coated diagnoses, but direct statements—clear, sometimes blunt, but always honest. He does everything to save the injured—even with unconventional methods if necessary. His reputation among Rune Warriors is mixed: some respect him for his skill and consistent stance, others struggle with his gruff manner. Within the crew of *Raskab’s Fist*, he is considered indispensable—not charming, but dependable.
