The Rune Armor: Materials and Functions

Rune armors are intricate masterpieces that combine the magic and craftsmanship of the Frostmen. Their base material consists of scales from large sea creatures, which are ideal for protecting against heat due to their cold resistance and flexibility. These are complemented by carved bone plates that are carefully inscribed with magical runes. Each armor is custom-tailored for its mission, making it both functional and personal.   Its primary function is protection from heat. Inside the armor, a constant, cool temperature is maintained, allowing Frostmen to survive even in the hottest regions of the outside world. Additionally, up to four magical runes can be integrated into the armor. These runes grant the wearer unique abilities, such as firing ice projectiles, achieving superhuman strength, flight, or enhanced physical resilience. Each of the four runes is interchangeable and selected with care for each deployment.   Common Feature: All rune armors include internal cooling. This ensures the armor protects the wearer from heat as well as extreme cold.  

Armor Classification by Rank and Rune Slots

Standard Armor: Standard issue for soldiers with basic duties such as guard duty and training.

1-Rune Armor (+1 Variable): For specialized units like recovery teams, logistics, or frost scouts.

2-Rune Armor (+2 Variables): For Frost Wardens (Captains), who require a blend of defensive and offensive capabilities.

3-Rune Armor (+3 Variables): For the Ice Master (Commander), designed to combine complex magical abilities.

4-Rune Armor (+4 Variables): A unique set worn by the General (Ice Patriarch), equipped with ultimate magical power.
