His name is Hjorrik, officially recorded in the logs of Raskab’s Fist as *Frostwarden Hjorrik Froststep*. The descriptive name *Froststep* has followed him since the days of the Golem War—born as a metaphor for the man who left more of himself behind with every step he took.

Hjorrik belongs to the older generation—a seasoned soldier with a gray gaze and hidden lines carved by loss and duty. No one names his exact age, but his gait and manner speak of decades in service.
 

Appearance / Physical Condition

For a Frostborn, Hjorrik is unusually tall: 1.72 m, lean, wiry. His head bears only a few remaining gray hairs. On duty, he is clean-shaven, precise, groomed down to the last detail. Outside of duty, he often wears a short, rough stubble—not for style, but because he no longer cares.
 

Background

He is a veteran of the First Golem War, a man who fought side by side with *Commander Ermos Darkbrow* during the chaos of the conflict—back when Ermos was still a junior officer. The war came at a high cost: Hjorrik lost his wife, Thirla Silverhair. Though her body was never found, he is certain—she is dead. With the war came emptiness, and with the emptiness came the drug *Icebreath*—a powder made from a moss of the same name.
 

Motivation & Goals

Despite—or perhaps because of—his inner fracture, Hjorrik continues to serve. He needs structure, command, discipline—something to keep him from falling into the void. Loyalty is his compass, and being loyal is not a feeling to him, but a stance. Yet his greatest strength—his unyielding nature—is also his weakness. He is stubborn, nearly obstinate, and once he has made a decision, he stays the course—even if it breaks him inside.
 

Family & Friends

His wife, Thirla Silverhair, was his heart. She vanished during the war, and with her, a part of him. They never had children. Since then, *Commander Ermos Darkbrow* has become his closest—and perhaps only—true confidant. The only voice that still carries weight in Hjorrik’s inner frost.
 

Contacts

Aside from Ermos, there are few known close contacts. Hjorrik lives within the structure of the military system, trusts in comrades on duty, but avoids closeness in private life. He is respected, but not liked—and that seems to suit him just fine.

Hjorrik serves as a *Frostwarden* aboard the warship *Raskab’s Fist*, often simply called “the Fist.” As Ermos’s right hand, he fulfills duties ranging from disciplinary oversight to strategic advising and moral stabilization of the crew—whether they want it or not.
