Title, Name, Descriptive Name & Position

Ermos Icefist, Sea Master of Ice and captain of *Raskab’s Fist*. He oversees the operations of the Rune Warriors across the waters, coordinates tactical missions in Nyrian’s frozen regions, and leads one of the most vital military units of the present day. His title stands for leadership, experience, and strategic foresight—he is no longer a front-line fighter, but a decision-maker, planner, and trainer of elite forces.  

Age

Ermos is in his early sixties. His age is visible, but not a hindrance: he remains active, takes responsibility, and passes on his knowledge. He is physically resilient, even if his pace has changed.  

Appearance / Physical Condition

Height approx. 1.40 m, stocky build, weathered skin. Short, dark hair, brown eyes with a calm, assessing gaze. His body shows traces of former athleticism, now layered with age-related weight. Ermos moves with control, speaks in a quiet voice, and wears practical clothing without ornament.  

Background

Ermos joined the Rune Warriors as a young man and fought in the Golem War. He was directly involved in the conflict and lost many comrades, including nearly his entire unit. After the war, he was appointed to strategic positions, where he planned operations and coordinated troop movements in difficult regions. He firmly believes the golems have not vanished for good and has spent decades preparing for their return — even in the face of resistance from within the leadership. He has boxed since his youth and still trains twice a week, even in old age.  

Motivation & Goals

Ermos’s primary motivation is the long-term defense of Nyrian. He believes military structure must never idle while threats remain uncertain. He focuses on training, clear systems, and strategic planning—not on peace or optimism. For him, preparation is not optional—it is duty.  

Family & Relationships

Ermos was married, but the marriage ended about fifteen years after the war due to the strain of his professional obligations. His eldest son, Askin Skyeye, died during Rune Warrior training—shortly before his planned wedding. His second son, Letvin Stormbrother, serves in a distant unit; their relationship is strained. Letvin blames his father and believes Askin was unfit for the responsibility.   Ermos maintains contact with the young warrior Kirka Hearttongue, Askin’s former fiancée. They share the experience of loss and support each other, though no familial bond has formed.  

Reputation

Ermos is known and respected among the Rune Warriors—for his decisions and his persistence. He leads with discipline, knows his crew by name, and values personal connection. Outside of missions, he is approachable; during operations, he is strict and clear. He is networked with many officers, though not all share his views on the golem threat. He shares a long-standing friendship with Hjorrik Froststep: Ermos brought him out of isolation and offered him a post aboard *Raskab’s Fist*—long before becoming captain himself.
