69 companies of 69 soldiers each   Virkin (Main fortress, dangerous area with ice creatures) → 25–30 companies

Strongest military presence, headquarters of the Rune Warriors. Watch posts in the surrounding area may host small detachments. (1,700–2,000 soldiers)   Vintergard (mid-sized fortress) → 15–18 companies

Key for military coordination and defense. Provides strategic support to Virkin and Skipti.   Skipti (smallest fortress) → 7–9 companies

Small but strategically important. Secures trade routes and local defenses.   Mountain Outposts → 3–5 companies

Observation and border security. Can be reinforced for reconnaissance missions.   Föndir (naval forces only) → 10–12 companies

Protects sea routes, coastlines, and waterways. Defense against maritime creatures.   Additional watch posts around Virkin:
