Feylings

Feylings

“You feel it, don’t you? That pull in your blood when the wind shifts. That’s the Veil remembering you.”

Who Are the Feylings?

Feylings are part-mortal, part-fey beings—born of ancient pacts, strange dreams, or long-lost bloodlines tied to the Feywild. They often grow up not knowing what they are, only that they see the world a little differently.   They hear whispers in still places. They feel the ache of songs that don’t exist. They know the truth always wants to bloom—even if it hurts.

What Makes a Feyling Unique?

They can’t lie. If a feyling tells a direct untruth, it causes them physical pain.   Iron burns them. Cold iron disrupts their magic and stings their skin.   They can vanish in a swirl of nature. Once per day, a feyling can slip away when they’re unobserved.   They feel when Fey magic is nearby. Something inside them hums when the Veil gets thin.   Every feyling has a birthmark or scar that ties them to an ancient pact—even if they don’t know it.

Common Traits

Deep ties to nature, memory, or music   Subtle otherworldly features (glowing eyes, vine-marked skin, strange shadows)   Difficulty trusting people—but fiercely loyal once they do

Feyling Types

Wildborn: Passionate and emotional, often drawn to art or combat.   Whisperborn: Quiet and dreamy. They speak rarely—but when they do, it matters.   Bloomtouched: Playful or nurturing, with strange flowers that grow from their body during strong feelings.   Duskbound: Haunted and thoughtful. Their shadow sometimes moves differently than they do.

In the World of Tey-Ashra

Feylings are rare. Some hide what they are. Others embrace it.   People might react with fear, curiosity, or awe. Some think feylings are cursed. Others think they’re chosen. Either way, most feylings are tied to bigger stories—ones they haven't remembered yet.

Player Tips

Embrace mystery. Your feyling might not know their origin yet.   Think about how truth and story affect your character. Can you tell the truth without revealing too much?   Use your magic and abilities with flair—they’re part of your bloodline.

Starting Prompts

You had a dream about someone wearing your face, whispering your name backward.   You once lied—and it nearly killed you. Since then, you speak carefully.   There’s a symbol on your skin that glows near old ruins or spiral stones.   You don’t remember your real name. But sometimes, the wind says something that feels close.

Final Thought

You are not entirely of this world—and the other world hasn’t forgotten you.
