Vulnum
Vulnum is the wound that put Yggdrasil in the state it is currently in.
Geography
From a distance the part of the nebula looks like a partialy scarred wound with the pustulus orb in the center, that is the location of Vulnum proper, leaking a sickness out.
Vulnum appears to be a planetoid from the surface, but once explored enough one starts to notice the anomalies that are around. The surface is pocketed with cave entrances that when explored seems to bring one back to the surface. If many are continously explored, without going back through the orginal cave, the ground starts to morph and appear almost flesh like. If for whatever reason one explores further they will notice that the ground will start having a rythmic oscillation. Upon traveling further the walls of the caves will start to become damp.
Localized Phenomena
The caves of Vulnum do lead back to the surface, but not of the Vulnum one arrives on. They are a portal between the layers of Vulnum. It is only once one travels through enough of them continuously that they notice the differences.
Each layer of Vulnum is a separate dimensional layer that has been cut from the fabric of the multiverse and layered into this location.
Climate
Each layer can vary heavily in climate some might be just a little more humid or hot, while some have heavy downpours of acidic rain.
Fauna & Flora
The creatures known as the Contagum spawn from Vulnum. The deeper one explore the abudancy and strength of the Contagum grows rapidly. Far into the depths one starts to find another species called Carium Ruinosus that hunt the Contagum and anything else that ventures that far.
History
Long ago some of the First-Born were sent to cleanse Vulnum. From their time here they slowly became corrupted by the Contagum and became the Fallen. They were eventually locked into prisons that were deep in the layers of Vulnum. Their prisons were eventually broke into by the Contagum and the Fallen used those Contagum to create their own abomination called Carium Ruinosus.
