Galvon's Sorrow
Where Gioson and Ferson meet Durn, it forms Dirwen - the widest river imaginable.
During summer-fall, this confluence can accumulate water flooding the area up to kilometers; Sometime it can form a temporary lake! You can see roads around there elevate higher than usual to prevent this phenomenon - most of the time.
Galvon Sorrow is a river basin that make up the source of Dirwen River. It's a river junction where Durn river join Ferson and Gioson which had been formed known as Fergioson. The basin located between Vinor and Knirk. A large body of water flood the large area for half a year, which can extend by kilometers, creating vast abundent floodplains.
The sister location is Golden Basin, the junction of Ferson and Gioson rivers, or Fergoson by some.
Geography
Highway Phenomena
The flood cycle here are unpredictable. While regular flood take up between two or three months each year, some years can take up to whole year or more. As a result, many highways passing this place has been built on unusual high, well-designed foundations with strong pipe connecting both side to prevent pressure building. To make the region more ridiculous, the permanent stone bridges were built. These bridges make beautiful landscape when only clear wide lake facing the sky. When drying season hit, they become nothing but lucid dreams.
Agriculture
The Galvon's Sorrow's various quality of soils create various type of farmings. At the nearest floorplain to the river, the water become fresh thanks to constant running river. Crops like Millets, cabbages, and other fast-growing plants are pretty popular. Many farmers can expect an incredible high yield.
The further away, the saltier the soil and having less vegetation. Instead, it becomes perfect spots for open-pit salt farms. The special salt called Galvon's Tear can be sold here as condiments and religious charms.
Several Valonian/Krin farmer towns were built. The nearer the place, the higher each buildings and less woody, while still holding their signature architecture.
Devine Depression
The basin becomes associated with Galvon, the Krin-Gion Goddess of Harvest. According to myths, she cry most of the time every anniversary of The Great Disturb, the mythical disasters caused by the Pantheon to stop humanity from invading Gion. One of the disasters the myth cited was the giant waves from the west slamming all people, eliminating the whole army. Once it receded, instead of returning to the sea entirely, part of them stored up around that region. The myth also suggest that those area became unusable to farm for hundred years.
