New Terra

Written by Colonel Vulpes

New Terra, orbiting around Sol in Terra's 5th Lagrange point, is the shining pinnacle of ProxGen Engineering. New Terra is an absolutely massive spin station designed after the Stanford Torus, and home to a current population of 104 thousand ProxGen employees as well as most of the corporation's Admin. With a radius of 2.145 kilometers and weighting in at over 34 million tons, New Terra is the largest, privately-owned, habitable station. It cost ProxGen billions of credits to construct, but allowed the corporation to move their best employees and administration off Terra, as the UN was beginning to crack down on large corporations. New Terra is also the location of the largest processing facility operated by ProxGen. These processing facilities are responsible for refining or condensing materials lifted from Luna's surface, and are equipped with 3D printing capabilities to repair the station if needed. 44% of the materials refined at New Terra are moved to low Terra orbit by freighters where they will be used to construct other spacecraft, with the rest being sent to Sagan Construction Station.
