Wizard
Career
Qualifications
Wizardry requires a blessing by either the moon goddess or one of the sun gods and years of practice to memorize at least half of the wizard's tome, generally alone in a tower somewhere. Most people either go insane or abandon wizardry before they can accomplish their goal, and some are never even blessed by the gods to receive magic in the first place, making it a difficult profession to get into. Aspiring wizards are encouraged to be literate, but this is surprisingly not necessarily a requirement.
Payment & Reimbursement
Wizards are commissioned to aid in certain projects, and they are paid highly, usually double or triple that of the worker with the lowest pay.
Other Benefits
Wizards are highly respected. In addition, while sometimes a curse due to the treatment, the children of wizards tend to have a magical affiliation based on which god blessed the wizard parent. Sol's children are sorcerers inheriting a weaker version of their parent's powers, Ghiram's children are druids able to talk to animals and plants, and Luna's children are prophets who can see the future either through being near the person they are prophecizing for or through a ritual.
Perception
Purpose
Wizards aid others and, in wartime, lead the front line.
Social Status
While wizardry is a very high-status career, few actively attempt to reach it due to the strain on mental health the training requires.
Demographics
Few people are qualified to become wizards, so only 2-10 people in each large town, a few more in a large kingdom, exist at one time.
History
Wizards were once worshipped as gods, but they were eventually seen as the children of the gods. in addition, the number of wizards fell as the status and pay of wizards rose.
Operations
Tools
Wizards use wizard's tomes and occasionally staffs made of repurposed walking sticks.
Workplace
Unqualified wizards stay in a wizard's tower, but qualified wizards work wherever they're hired.
Provided Services
As long as it's in a wizard's tome (which is most things), won't hurt anyone, and won't encourage complete dependence on the wizard, a wizard can do it.
Dangers & Hazards
Some hazards include insanity, Mana Organs, injuries, et cetera.
Wizardry is legal and even encouraged.
