Prophet
"Prophets have an easy future ahead of them; all the fame without the work! Wizards have to go through trials and tribulations, sorcerers live in the shadow of their parents, and druids have to put up with the sass of animals. All prophets have to do is spit out prophecies they're given without work, and they have a cosy job! Every parent wants a better future for their child, and Luna grants the best future for her wizard's children! Want to give your child a better future? Become a wizard of Luna today!" -A flyer advertising a wizarding career.
It really isn't quite as glorious as everyone makes it seem. That fact won't stop people from trying to become prophets, even if they have none of the born skills a prophet requires.
Career
Qualifications
Prophets are the children of Luna's wizards, and they generally go through the same training wizards do, only adapted to the prophet's powers. That being said, some prophets do not respond to this training. These prophets are usually deemed 'unqualified'.
Payment & Reimbursement
Prophets are usually treated as family members to those they speak prophecies for. They eat for free, get housing for free, are occasionally given free gifts, and are not paid with money.
Other Benefits
Prophets are usually well-known and recorded in books with wizards, druids, and sorcerers. That being said, many prophets feel the fame isn't worth the set destiny.
Perception
Purpose
Prophets can help those they serve avoid or prepare for disaster. They can also foretell destruction, but most of their abilities are directed towards personal use.
Social Status
Prophets are generally considered high status, but they're often found amongst people with a low status.
Demographics
Out of the small number of Wizards found on Terra (2-10 per large town), only around 1/15th are wizards of Luna. All children of Luna's wizards are prophets, so there's a calculation people don't want to do. There are too many places of too many populations for an accurate number to be collected.
History
Prophets were once worshipped like gods, same as wizards, sorcerers, and druids, but they have become servants for the wealthy to see their future.
Operations
Materials
While not all prophets, many prophets use sand, glass shards, and Jade Wine.
Provided Services
Prophets allow their employers to see their future.
Dangers & Hazards
The only hazards are mental; prophets are forced to watch their employers attempt to change their immutable fate. It's basic sense that fate cannot be changed, but people always cause it to occur or let it happen.
