Avast
the hunter
Avast had always been first guardian on planet Vesa, burdened with keeping his kin safe from the dangerous creatures on their planet. Aethos realized that mankind faced the same problem on Tera, and offered the hunter a place among the eight Vesaja tasked with guiding mankind. With the situation on Vesa under control, Avast accepted and was sent to Tera. Arkun was the unspoken leader of the group, but nobody dared to question the expertise of the vesajan hunter when it came to hunting down the titans. Before facing off with a titan, Avast made sure to analyse the threats and ways to exploit potential weaknesses. She had a hand in nearly every hunt, and was personally responsible for the death of atleast 30 titans. After the Salvation Avast travelled around the newly secured World of man and learned as much as she could. Later she would stay among the nomads in Suthria together with Damatis , who much needed their particular skills due to the unforgiving environment.
Damatis had his own way of helping the nomads, introducing them to agriculture and enabling them to make a permanent home. Avast on the contrary, embraced their nomadic lifestyle, and optimized it so their would always be enough food and water at hand. Most nomads alligned with one of the two vesajan lords which divided them in two totally different cultures: the settlers and the nomads. Dispite their differences they lived in harmony and benefitted from eachother. Both cultures underwent an explosion in population under the vesajan guidance which would cause alot of problems in the future.
After all, the settlers had made the Crown of Suthria their home. This Crown area had always been crucial for the nomads aswell, as they migrated there during the most intense dry periods. Untill now, this hadn't been a problem as the crown was open to all, nomads and settlers alike. This changed during a particularly dry period, where the nomads sought sanctuary in the crown in great numbers. There was too little food for too many people, which caused the prices to go up tremendously. Unable to afford the food, the nomads were forced to criminality and caused dismay among the settlers.
Damatis had close ties with Arkun, as the economy of the two empires were heavily connected through trade. When Arkun invaded East-Theria, Damatis followed his example and used the dismay to declare war on the nomads. The nomads were expelled out of the Crown, effectively bringing The god-wars to Suthria. Thousands died during this nomadic cleansing, and hundreds of thousands of nomadic lives were at risk due to the loss of the Crown. Avast had to protect his people and declared war on Damatis and his settlers. The months that followed she managed to unite all of the nomadic tribes into one, gigantic, nomadic horde.
The settlers held the figurative "high ground" however, as they had acces to food and water all year around, with in addition the protection of walls around their 3 capital cities. Slowly the numbers of the nomads dwindled, losing the war against the elements as they now had nowhere to go during the dry periods. Avast knew if things would go on like this it would mean the end of her people, and therefore gladly accepted when Arkun offered his help, and promised to open up the Crown once again. In return he wanted the Magus , an ancient artifact thought to be located deep in the suthrian desert.
The expedition took nearly a year, and pushed the small party Avast had put together to their limit as they finally found the temple that contained the magical gem. Not long after, the party had made camp next to the boiling lake, located very close to the Mark of sear . Here they witnessed an elder dragon, a giant beast of older times and bigger than any titan they had ever seen before, appear from the infernal smoke of the sear. The creature was so big that even the vesajan hunter knew that there was nothing she could do if it decided to destroy the world of man. Luckily the beast turned around to disappear in the sear once again. The world was safe. For now.
It is said that Avast turned mad after this event, hunted by nightmares and scared that he was not up to the challenge. She ridded herself of the magus and distanced herself from the god-wars that she now considered pointless. He only took a fraction of the nomads with him, and the many that remained were left to fend for themselves, who now named him "the absent god". What happened in the east is up for debate, but the most plausible theory is that Avast was preparing for the giant beasts to come again. It was here that he was least seen before being banished by Aethos, never to be seen again.

Ascendants
During the war, Avast concluded he needed all of his power to lead his nomads through the harsh environment, and therefore did not ascend any of them. It is said that this changed after he turned his back to the God-wars, and that he gave away all of his powers at the end, to aid mankind in the fight that has yet to come to pass.
