Under fifteen stars of glory

Rapinus has always been a somewhat liberal city in comparison to its bigger brother, Wellanus, with three large universities and a more diversified economy primarily running on trade. During the times of Artemis, the city flourished and became a stronghold of the Artemisian Democratic Kadets.

With the Artesjan collapse, the admittedly small local government followed soon after, the regional authority declared a state of emergency as the Czeanians advanced from the south and the Cassiites marched from the north.

It was a gradual change, but the population around Rapinus began to arm themselves, sacking Vehr armories and stealing weapons from the invaders. A militia was forming, but a militia, an army, needs a leader.

The Idealist

Rachelle Dragh was a retired Vehr general when the civil war broke out; she was retaking her education at the communal university. And, seeing the militia run around without leadership like a headless chicken, she offered her skills.

Being a general in the Vehr and being the leader of a whole movement are two different things, though, Miss Dragh is living up to the expectations. A charismatic and empathetic woman, she is well-liked among her soldiers, who have affectionately nicknamed her "Miss Battery" for her fondness for artillery.

Rachelle is the one and only field marshall of the Rapinus Militia, she oversees the general strategy and affairs of the army. She is also the current head of the provisional authority.

The Radical

Werner Trost, Head of Internal Forces and National Police.

Chief Inspector Trost is an enigma in all senses of the word, a libertarian and the chief of police, a democrat and a chauvinist, and disinterested in religion... except when it comes to the second saint. Werner has been noted as incredibly diligent in his duties, improving the internal security of Rapinus greatly.

Trost has, at times butted heads with the leader of the Militia, Rachelle Dragh, her outgoing and more laid-back personality often clashes with his quiet and, sometimes neurotic nature. The two still work together, but there is a noticeable gap in cooperation between the Militia and the Police.

The Commando

Erin Matys, Head of the ALNN and Commander of the 1st and 2nd Ranger divisions.

General Erin Matys has proved to be one of Rapinus' most audacious fighters, the two divisions under their command, 1st "First Liberators", 2nd "Greenpine Furies" have wreaked havoc on the southern front and struck fear into the hearts of the Czeanian front.

A solitary soul by nature, Erin spent the years before the war as an Ecosocialist blogger on the Gemiweb, garnering a large following from their flat in Rapinus. This is not to say they spent all their days cooped up indoors. Erin was a prolific hunter in the Greenpine high forest just outside of the city.

Lastly, General Matys has also gone on to found the ALNN (Allianz Liberazione Natural Narva), a militant faction within the Rapinus Militia pushing for intense natural conservatism, and promoting green energy, after all...

The Connected

Anu D'Angeli, Head of foreign affairs and Commander of the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 8th Militia divisions.

There is always a need for a man with connections, and General Anu D'Angeli is that man for the Rapinus Militia. A friend of many high-ranking officers in the Vehr and Starravehr, Anu distinguished himself when he secured two Airwings of ZU-17s for the Militia, a significant edge.

Being an aeronautics enthusiast himself, Anu is also connected to a more... eccentric figure, Tahomas, who has been happy to help the Rapinus Militia on more than one occasion, usually by bombing the snot out of Free Artesja, their common enemy. The amiability between the two also greased the wheels of the signing of the Democratic Front, a Transnational contiguous coalition between Rapinus Antifascist, the ACG, the Vehr Western Command, ANC, and AEC.

The Professional

Marija Krasinski, Head of the Armed Forces and Commander of the 4th, 6th, and 9th Motorized divisions, along with the 10th Armored.

Marija, the fourth daughter of the esteemed Vehr commander Rakja Krasinski, is an experienced and devoted commander of Rapinus' mobile forces, including the one tank division at their disposal. She is currently in charge of the northern front against Free Artesja, the most bitter and ruthless enemy of Rapinus.
