Letting them assume the role of her champion as Fabien once did. She grants us the power we need to lead the world against the bezjan menace, united under her chosen champion."
Appointment
In the underground chambers of Fabien's shrine, there is a sealed door. This door can only be opened with the aid of divine providence, specifically the mandate of Gemiknight. Inside is a realm beyond reality, the room of ascension. Where the chosen shall drink from the cup of blood.
As the Holy Divinar is traditionally a hereditary position, the individuel chosen will usually be the chosen heir of the previous one. However the power of choosing has always in theory been in the hands of the senate. But this has never actually been the case in practice, as the rich heir of the previous Holy Divinar would have been guaranteed the position through bribery, gifts or unsubtle threats. So long has this been the case, that it is simply seen as a given that the heir shall assume their parents position.
When their is a disagreement in the succession of the next Holy Divinar, the room of ascension will refuse to open, as Gemiknight will only accept an undisputed successor. Until the next heir has been made apparent, the door will stay locked. Letting the current dispute be settled without the aid of Gemiknight's power, so as to prevent any opportunistic wishing to drink from the cup before their rival can dispute it.
