Vulkantanz

The Vulkantanz is a meeting held by the Lord Mayors of Härtenstadt every two years to discuss legal matters. Dubbed the 'Volcano Dance', it earned its intimidating name for the high tempers of many early Lord Mayors. The wrong word said at the right time could feel as if one was dancing on the edge of a crater, above a roiling pit of magma. While modern Vulkantanz are tame by comparison, heated debate about how the city states should interact still occur.    It is during very key Vulkantanz that a Steel Overseer is decided on. Often these are called in emergencies, outside the normal cycle, and receive a special name: The Stahltanz.
