Kingdom on the west coast of Tanera, the second largest nation on the continent, after Obane.
Government
Cannis is a hereditary monarchy, currently ruled by King Aden II. His consort is Cressida, of the royal house of Maril, and they have one son, eight-year-old Coren. Traditionally only the ruling monarch is titled, and loses the title if they retire from leadership by any means other than death. The King is aided in his rule by a Royal Council. The roles on the Council are not set in stone: the monarch can dismiss and create them at will. However, it generally includes nobles representing Cannis’s other cities, the Masters of each of the Colleges, and specialist advisers on issues such as finance and defence.Royal Council of Cannis
