Ancient Elvish
As the common tongue of the Ithyrian Elves (the first Elves to appear within Taeva), as well as their mythical Ellyon ancestors, Ancient Elvish (also known among scholars as "Famiaithki", or "Mother Tongue") stands as one of the oldest languages in the world. As the common language of one of the greatest Mage Empires in Taeva's history, Ancient Elvish has also become the language of magic throughout Imera and some of northern Vraelia, with nearly every spell and incantation being written in it.
Writing System
The writing system for the Ancient Elvish language, as well as its descendant languages, uses individual letters written in a smooth and flowing script.
Geographical Distribution
Ancient Elvish is spoken throughout the lands inhabited by the Elves, and traces of it can be found throughout the lands formerly occupied by Ithyria.

Ancient Elvish is follows a Subject-Verb-Object sentence structure.
