Magnus

Magnus might've been a very smart kid, but he couldn't figure out why they lived in such a secluded area. They'd always lived so far from any towns but his parents were incredibly knowledgeable, and had no disdain for civilization. But when his father started passing away he was finally told the truth. His father wasn't as human as most people, he technically wasn't at all. He was something called a Mandroid, an invention from a crazy inventor named Dr. Makhana from a century ago. He was built to upgrade himself over time, but the inventor didn't expect his mind to expand the way it did. His father became sentient, ran away and continuously upgraded until he became bio-mechanical. They stayed far away from people in case some of Makhana's Mandroids were still hunting for them.

  This explained a lot of things to Magnus though, why they had to lie about were they lived or couldn't trust adults. Also why Magnus was told to restrict himself during the small time he did spend with other kids. When Magnus ventured out into the world by himself he realized he was a lot stronger, faster and smarter than others his age. His father was able to transfer some of his traits, passing them down through edited DNA. After hearing the stories of Makhana and his father, he decided he wanted to help stop people like that.

  One of his fathers favorite things about humanity was mythology, the grand stories humans would tell about heroic deeds and grand sagas. The one Magnus loved above all was Norse Mythology, specifically Thor, the god of war. So he fashioned himself in Thor's image. Commissioning his own hammer from the Forgewife , which he named Thundercloud. He built his own armor, and started his career in heroics.
