Dr. Makhana

Dr. Makhana had loved machines, they were simple and did what they were programmed to do. People were complex, messy and unpredictable. So at the time of his youth machines were nothing but tools, but he envisioned a much more grander future for them. If not to teach humanity how to be better, then at least to replace them. He would do the same thing to people that he did to robots, break them down build them back up again.

So he studied each facet of robotics at the time, and improved on them drastically. He built his first Mandroids and set them loose studying people, then kidnapping them and obtaining any helpful information for the doctor. They would then replace them and live out there lives as normal, being better people then they ever were. But some malfunctioned, mimicking human thought and emotions were hard to process. They would go on rampages, which tipped off the heroes of the time to Makhana. Who became a regular villain for them for years.

That didn't deter him at all, in fact he sped up production, and upgraded their combat abilities. Giving the Mandroids the ability to upgrade themselves and building more variety.

• He built the Damndroids that took on the appearance of demons. They were built to test the mind of people who held strong beliefs.
• He built the Manix to simulate the mind of an insane person, which he later repurposed to drive people insane to study mental breakdown.
• The last he built was the Scramdroid, a speedster robot built solely to counter Sonic Sam.

Not all his creations stayed true to his programming, and the ones that didn't also did not go berserk. Some truly tried to achieve humanity on their own. Their upgraded themselves in ways Makhana couldn't, and he hunted them down to discover their secrets. Catching most of them, which only made his androids more dangerous. His last destructive appearance was in the late 1950's. Spending the rest of his life hunting down his lost androids before passing away.
