H.B.I.C.

Mariah was 5 when her whole life changed. She was at a local park not far from where her father was visiting her grandmother, her mom took her there to lighten the mood. She was riding her bike in the parking lot, watching for cars like her mother told her to, enjoying the wind on her face and her hair flowing in the breeze. She heard a sound which scared her, making her jump off the bike and run to her mom. Miles away a factory had just exploded, and a 3 foot chunk of metal was sent flying. As soon as she hopped off the bike the metal hit her, and everything went black.
  She woke up weeks later with an pain all over, surrounded by monitors inside a room that didn't look anything like her grandmothers hospital. But her parents were happy crying to see her awake, standing next to a man she didn't know. He introduced himself as Mr. Franklin, and he was going to be her new teacher and physical therapist. From that point on he taught her how to walk, run and use the machinery that was now attached to her body. Later revealing himself as the hero H.N.I.C. which he thought would be a surprise, but she had already figured that part out.
  When she decided she was ready and wanted to be a hero to, she became his sidekick. They frequently worked with Rockstar and his sidekick Gemstone. Mariah became best friends with Gemstone, they were almost inseparable. Mariah took her training very seriously, and wanted H.N.I.C. and her own parents to be proud of her. So she did her best to be a great hero, in her own way. But when Gemstone went off the deep end betraying them, and killing Rockstar. She was deeply hurt, she knew that it was Gemstone, now known as Sin Diamond who did it, but she was constantly egged on by others. This made Mariah become a little more jaded towards the whole hero fan dynamic. But she never turned her back on protecting people, she did stop caring about what they thought or how they felt about it.
