Felix Mack hails from South Carolina, a member of the Gullah people who've owned their land for generations. His family has owned and worked their land for years without issue. He was happy with their life, the friends, the family, and their generous cable package filled with cartoons. For a long time they seemed to be forgotten, with not much people coming their way for anything. But for some reason interest in their land grew, though nothing had changed. Some people happily sold their land for a big payday, but most where targeted with malicious intent in stealing the land however possible. Even resorting to finding long lost relatives who still had legal ownership of the land and paying them to sell it.

His family was no different, after plenty of developers gobbled up their neighbors land his family was next up on the chopping block. Refusing all payment for their ancestral home, they tried suing and other legal means of excising his family. When this didn't work they tried to find relatives with claims to the land. They found a cousin, who went along with their plan but Felix's family made sure to fix that loophole as well.

After exhausting the other avenues the developers decided they had enough, and were getting the land one way or another. They hired a group of people to get rid of the family and to set fire to their homes. When they attacked they hid in the house, but Felix had watched his family fight off these people legally. He couldn't help before, but he could try to help now. He was scared but he wanted to save his family. He ran to the door to fight like the heroes in the cartoons would, and by the time he got outside he was fully animated. He confused, terrified and beat back the invaders and saved his home.

He scared the hell out of his parents too sometimes, who initially berated him for doing something so dangerous but thanked him anyway. They did not let him engage in any heroics for a long time, it was months before he convinced them he could actually help people. But when they finally came around, he came out swinging.
