Keroti

The Keroti are the people of Menkerot who either still reside there or have fled from the ruined land.

Refugee Status

At the end of the War of Dragons, the Scaled Tyrant destroyed much of the landscape of Menkerot and many of its people while also ruining the remainder of the landscape. Those furthest away from the epicenter of the destruction were able to flee though many were affected by the profane, magical energies that the destruction unleashed.

The initial exodus scattered the population to all corners. to the East and Phebisa, to the North in Shitari, to the West to Ahrodia and the far West of Rusasia. Whatever ship they could board they took.

Given the influx of population there have been some places where they have been turned away as cities and nations claim to be unable to support them. Still there are small communities and families now exist in many nations of the world.

The remainder who stayed on Menkerot or were simply unable to leave have established some fortified cities on the Western coastline.

Keroti are physically distinguished by their faded skin complexions from the shadowy energies unleashed by the Scaled Tyrant. While those who fled first might show lesser signs, the ones who took longer to leave or who stayed in Menkerot have certainly developed a deeper monochrome complexion with eyes that glow from within. Many are also plagued by their shadow taking on odd characteristics. It has been an issue of many who assume the worst or want to assume the worst.
