V'lur (V-lore)

• Leather, bat like wings capable of being concealed (though rarely hidden).
• Long serpentine tail tipped with barb
• Lightweight skeletal structure for agile flight

• High metabolism - requires frequent hunting
• Accelerated healing
• Keen sensory organs suited for nocturnal and high altitude environments

V'lur thrive in forests, mountain ranges, and arid regions where they can glide from high vantage points and nest in sheltered spaces. They prefer environments with open sky access and high roosting sites.

V'lurs rely on body language rather than spoken language. They are highly social within their nests and engage in playful antics that can escalate into aggression when threatened. They rarely take matters seriously, but when they do, their ferocity is unmatched.

A small number of v'lur leave the nest every few centuries to explore new territories and learn about the world. These individuals are rare and often become unusually intelligent compared to the nest-bond majority.

Loyalty is everything. Betray it and their wrath is swift.

• Led by an alpha (commonly male, occasionally female)
• Alpha's partner stands as second authority
• Hunters ensure food and security
• Family members fill the nest; may accompany hunts to prevent restlessness.

V'lur prioritize instinct over intellect, but this does not make them simple. They are capable of strategic hunting and cunning escape tactics. Often outsmarting those who underestimate them.

V'lurs rarely socialize with other species. Those who do tend to be more adventurous v'lurs seeking experiences beyond nest life. They hold no inherent prejudice toward other maiaaks or humans. Curiosity determines their approach more than ideology.
