Lyzal comes from a v'lur nest within the forest "Of No Return". The nest is called by other maiaaks, Ka'va. But humans simply call The Dark V'lur's nest. Lyzal had gotten bored with her basic v'lur life and decided to go exploring the world in which she learned the human tongue, a feared religion among maiaaks called Elysian, and more. Lyzal's vast knowledge expands farther than expected from an average v'lur that explores the world, thus leaving most wondering how much she truly knows.

One day Lyzal is captured by the Elysian faith in a small village called Wynfell. No one can tell if she let herself get caught or if she was truly somehow detained. Lyzal was granted temporary freedom when a small swarm of maiaaks attacked Wynfell, in order to escape a fire that lit the Sanctara chapel. She successfully slayed the attacking maiaak but was once again bonded by a small human named Luna. Luna was then instructed to take Lyzal to their sister village, Hearthgrove, so that she could be once again detained. But Hearthgrove could not comply and instead gave Luna the instructions to take Lyzal to Athanasia, a far off city. Whilst on their way, Lyzal complied with Luna out of sheer curiosity for the human. When Luna proved that she had some bite, Lyzal became even more fascinated and decided to stick with Luna throughout the rest of her journey. Especially after Luna's eyes had opened to the world.

Lyzal started off just like any other v'lur. Minimal to no vocabulary, and simple body language for communication. After so many years, Lyzal was entrusted to be a hunter for her nest. Getting glimpses of the outside world, made her curious and hunger for adventure. Getting fed up with the casual everyday life of a v'lur, Lyzal left her nest to explore. She hung around a lot of different villages, picking up on the local tongue. As soon as she learned the language, the barrier to everything else became none-existent. She quickly learned that all she had to do was listen, and she would learn things that she probably wasn't even supposed to know. Not that it bothered her.
