Timo Ten Broeck is the eldest son of the Ten Broeck House and his marriage to Heinrike Van Brugge has cemented the two houses together under the Van Brugge name to become the most powerful force in Dutch Society on Ecumene. Timo works in the traditional Dutch industry of naval infrastructure, and the Ten Broecks were one of the families most directly responsible for the creation of the Canal. Timo is a bit more salt of the earth than a lot of House movers and shakers. He spent a lot of time as a child working on the Canal himself due to an old-fashioned parenting style, and he's never really lost the edge he earned there. He's quiet but quite funny and surprisingly vulgar when he does talk.
