Dahlia Star Orion (a.k.a. Obsidian)
Obsidian is a prominent Morpher who rejects her past and condition. She is intrigued in Archotech artifacts and technologies in the hope that they can cure her Morphism and somehow she will be happier. She, along with her partner Hugo, has their own space ship to which they travel around and explore sites of interest. She believes Will has a major connection to the Archotechs and thus has a major interest with him. Although Obsidian has yet to extract any Archotech related information from him, she still likes to occasionally use him to acquire other items of interest. It was this interest to use Will as a tool for acquiring other items that her interest in Kellie sprung up. Hoping to use her to motivate Will to help her goals, she tried to develop a relationship and connection with her until she realized that Kellie was a Morpher too, in fact the same kind of Morpher that she is, Morphism B. Because of this, she only sees her past self when she looks at Kellie and causes her to strongly dislike her and try to avoid her. In the end of Chapter 1, the do eventually make up and grow close as genuine friends.

Personal history
Was born within the Orion Nobility as the daughter of Carnation Orion. As a child, Obsidian was neglected by her parents who spent most of their time with Obsidian’s older sister Canna Orion. As a result, Obsidian grew a parental bond with the families butler who grew attached to Obsidian as he took care of her. However, no one knew that Obsidian had Morphism until one day when she was playing outside and cut her face after tripping into a thorny bush. Her parents and sister were on vacation at the time so upon hearing word of his daughter’s morphism, Obsidian’s father decided that it was the head maid’s job to exterminate her. The head maid then hired a local hunter to kill Obsidian in her sleep. However the butler still cared for Obsidian and he knew that they might try and kill her so he gave her a small dagger and told her to hide this and use it against anyone who might try to hurt her. So in the middle of the night, when the Hunter was sneaking into her room, Obsidian was awake pretending to be asleep despite being scared. When the Hunter has reached her bedside, Obsidian thrusted the dagger into the hunter’s leg, causing him to collapse and crack his skull against the corner of Obsidian’s nightstand. Obsidian ran away in fear to the butler who was horrified to have his prediction turn true. He then told Obsidian to stick by him to keep her safe. When the head maid say the dead Hunter in Obsidian’s room, she was filled with hate. She grabbed a knife and would deal with Obsidian herself. She found Obsidian and the butler in a hallway and told the butler to give her the child. The butler refused and after some bickering the head maid charged and slashed the butler across the chest. Blood splattered on Obsidian’s face and blood seeped into her still open cut on her face and she morphed. In her morphed form, she killed the maid and killed everyone in the mansion in a murderous frenzy. Upon turning back, she was terrified, scared, and alone

Relationships
History
At first both Obsidian and Kellie were interested in getting to know each other. For Kellie because she saved her, knew Electromancy, and because she knew Will. Obsidian wanted to form a relationship with Kellie to have better control over Will. However when Obsidian and Kellie found out that Kellie had Morphism B, Obsidian grew an instant hatred for Kellie. This hatred festered even further as Obsidian saw more of her past self in Kellie. Kellie was confused by the instant change in demeanor towards her but still wants to be Obsidian’s friend. A long time later, after Kellie’s prodding, Obsidian eventually confesses why she hates Kellie and after some talking/arguing they eventually make amends and form respect for each other

Obsidian’s hatred for Kellie is because she is a Morpher and she reminds her of her previous self. Kellie wants to be friends with Obsidian because she knows Will and she thinks Obsidian is cool and respects her
