Inali is a mage of the Bobcat Clan and Deyani's closest friend. He is not well-respected amongst other mages of the clan, but Deyani's protectiveness of him has ensured him a place at her side for the duration of her diplomatic mission.
Inali is known amongst his clan as an exceedingly powerful mage, but a terrible warrior. He is soft-hearted and does not like to hunt or fight. Until Deyani took him into her personal guard, he served the clan as a gatherer and apprentice apothecary. Though most of the clan believe he is letting his magical talent go to waste, Deyani sees potential in both his raw power and his wide-eyed, earnest curiosity. To the endless consternation of the Bobcat Clan’s proper warriors, she chose Inali alone to accompany her to Olympia, as both a bodyguard and an ambassador-in-training.
