Star of Helvetica is a D&D 5e Westmarch world created for the purpose of creating a world that feels alive and where players can make their own stories.Making a living world and a place for people to enjoy. The world is a mix of Fantasy and Magitek due to the rapid advancements of Marigold due to a special mineral they found in their region that fuels their Magitek.
852 years ago, at the end of the 3rd Holy Era, An event would shake the world and change it forever.
No one knows where the Eldrazi came from, but they took advantage of the continent spanning gateways to quickly spread to every city and nation. In the beginning, the battles were decisively victorious, but the onslaught was endless wearing down the survivors. The defiant cities of the northwest were initially spared due to the embargo but soon The Calamity spread from the fallen cities throughout the continent. There were no terms of surrender nor any prisoners. All were brutally slaughtered when the wisest realized the terror of a billion dead souls empowered and strengthened the Calamity and fleeing was the only option.
The Eldrazi Titans did not simply stop at those that dwelled within the world of Helvetica, they grew hungry for the gods, and so they went to devour them, murdering god after god in what seemed like a horrific display of power. Brisela was the worst, and the most powerful of the Eldrazi she loved to torment the gods, and used angels, and demons as her flesh, fusing them into her body, as she loved their beautiful wings, and lovely skin.
The Eldazri Titans that wreaked havoc across Helvetica would soon meet the end of their destruction. Ulomoa was the first to fall, Cecilia Calaide had slain her with the help of what she believed was the old gods... Ulomoa’s corpse still resides where it fell, now guarded by Drakkonmet. This death of an Eldrazi Titan was finally a turn that helped the war and caused the downfall of the others.
This event lasted 400 years, and is known as the "Era of Calamity".
