Nazea
Demographics
Nazea has a total population of 39 Million people which is made up entirely of zelvans, the city is the largest cities on Aahli making it a major economic center. The most densely populated areas of the city are those closest to the lake which borders the west of the city corresponding to the downtown.
Government
The city is run by a mayor who is elected by universal suffrage for a six-year term during which he is assisted by councilors of his party in the Municipal Assembly whom he appoints. The decisions are submitted to the vote of the municipal assembly which represents the citizens of the different castes whose representatives are elected by these said castes.
Defences
The city does not have a concrete defense rather it relies on defense in orbit to prevent any landings of an army which would aim to invade the city. A military base is however present near the Nazea spaceport where troops are permanently stationed there. It is also planned in the event of an invasion to use the very dense environment of the city to facilitate its defense by giving opportunities for ambushes, practicing guerrilla techniques or providing the troops with hiding places.
Industry & Trade
The city is an essential commercial crossroads in the Zelvnak system as well as in the whole Zelvan Council thanks to its spaceport. The Zelvnak system is indeed an obligatory crossing point between two regions of the Zelvan Council, which means that it sees hundreds of ships pass every day. The city also has become an important industrial center receiving some of the raw materials from the his own system and other nearby ones.
Infrastructure
The city has within it the largest spaceports on the planet, an important network of public transport and an important pedestrian network that allows citizens to easily move around the city. Nazea also includes its central station which provides access to most other cities on the planet directly or through correspondences.
Architecture
The zelvan architecture adopted organic forms following the currents of airTo adapt to the strong winds coming from the deserts of the planet. The buildings are also usually light colored to avoid trapping too much heat which usually makes Zelvan towns look like they are shining brightly. Zelvans tend generally to build less tall buildings unlike humans since the winds on their home planet have prevented them from doing so. This constraint remained in their construction habits and they retained this characteristic in the other colonies that they established on their territory. Nazea is therefore no exception to the rule and has a fairly basic relief.
