High Court of Justice
The High Court of Justice is the judicial branch of the Zelvan Council's government, it is the guardian of the constitution as well as the laws of the Zelvan Council and the highest court in the land. Its judgments cannot be appealed and serve as case law in lower courts.
Structure
The Zelvan Council's federal court system is centered around three major bodies with the federal courts or the specialized courts, the Federal Court of Appeal and the High Court of Justice at the top. The Court of Castes is a unique element of the Zelvan justice system handling cases of a civil nature and composed of judges belonging to the castes of the people being tried. Cases applying for appeal will be sent to the Federal Court of Appeal and the High Court of Justice if the demand is accepted.
Leadership
The Director of Federal Justice is responsible for taking care of the administration of the federal judicial system, archiving the decisions of all the federal courts and confirming the appointments of all new judges to the federal judicial system with candidates provided by an independent commission.

They are in charge of all cases of a federal nature which are not handled by specialized courts and are distributed throughout the territory to have good coverage. The judges are appointed by the Director of Federal Justice on the recommendation of an independant commission. The number and subjects dealt with by the courts and tribunals will change depending on the level of government. The judges of these are appointed by the Director of Federal Justice from candidates chosen by an independent commission. Boards
The Federal Parole Board is responsible for studying and ruling on the parole of inmates who have been convicted by a federal court. It must decide whether the inmate can be released from prisons after completing his minimum sentence on criteria such as good behavior or the risk of reoffending and he is free to impose conditions on release. Another board that is under the responsibility of the judicial system is that responsible for combating corruption in the political system of the federal government.Public Agenda

Assets
The High Court of Justice sits on Aahli in the town of Nazea which is the capital of the Zelvan Council and therefore where most federal institutions sit. The building also accommodates the other courts that are part of the federal justice system.
