Cirkadia Minor

Home to one of the most influential organizations within the Empire, the Cirkadia Banking Guilds. Cirkadia Minor lies at the culmination of the Fasaryr Run and the Felucia Trade Way. It still remains in the Panem Region, but nearly borders the Throne Worlds. Cirkadia Minor has long been a bastion of power within the Core Worlds. It is operated by a group of wealthy individuals who were able to upjump themselves with the accumulations of wealth they made exploiting the Mid Rim.   The banking guilds aquired the planet during the first wave of expansion and colonialism following the establishment of the throne worlds. The founding of Cirkadia Minor pre-dates the empire, and most of the other colonies in the Panem Region. It is now a massive city planet, and economic hub. Its strategic positioning, between the Fasaryr Run and the Felucia Trade Way makes it the highest tariff collecting planet in the empire.   The banking guilds use this strategic positioning to manipulate imperial politics not with force of arms, but through money and influence. There are layers of crime that prevail in the lower levels of the city, like many of the planets within the empire, and it has become a warzone between the families, the syndicate, and the Zym Cartels.
The Interstellar Gate around Cirkadia Minor is the largest in imperial controlled space. It holds millions of residents, and is a fully functioning city in its own right. It also houses tens of thousands of security forces, customs agents, and other symbols of the colonial empire's military strength.   The gate is one of the most traversed gates in the entire galaxy, and this station alone sees almost half of all goods bound for the Throne Worlds. The other half usually come through the Spice Road.   The gate itself is also rumored to host play to the various subversive actions taken against the Cirkadia banking guilds, with various other assets utilizing deniable asset units on the station in order to hinder their rivals shipping portfolios. Information, assets, and technology is regularly stolen and transfered here, giving rise to an economy of highly trained corpo-mercs who work under the likes of the Sand-Men or even Fourth Column radicals funded by greater houses.
